Hello, I'm Kirsten Edwards and I currently live in Sydney, Australia with my husband Andrew and our four year old daughter Hannah and one year daughter Sarah. 

Cross stitch for me started as a girlhood hobby which my mother taught me. I became totally hooked in my early twenties and now it has developed into a magazine filled with patterns, ideas, inspiration and articles. My background is in web design and electronic publishing. It is a joy and an honour to be able to combine my hobby and profession.

After the birth of my daughter Hannah, we considered what I could do to earn some income while staying at home and being a mum. We came up with the idea of a cross stitch magazine that could be downloaded. We hadn't seen this done before, so after researching, working out the figures and approaching designers to contribute, we released the first issue on 1st February 2006.

I have never had a job that I enjoy so much and works so well with my family life. We are looking forward to sharing with you many more beautiful issues of the magazine in the years to come.
