- Feature Design: "The Red Lady Sampler" by Kirsten Edwards. It has been pointed out that this design looks very similar to Carriage House Sampler's design, "Faith, Hope and Honor" and there has been some concern that it was copied. The inspiration for The Red Lady Sampler came from this historic needlework piece, "Spring" housed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art . In the introduction of the feature design, it is stated the Fishing Lady canvaswork pictures were the inspiration for this piece and this has led to some confusion about the origins of the design. Although the lady in "Spring" is not fishing, this historic piece is stitched in the same style and period as other fishing lady canvaswork pictures. We apologise for any concern or confusion this has created amongst stitchers.
