  • Page 40: The instructions for the 15-sided biscornu are actually in Issue 45 not 47.
  • Charts for the Summer Garden Pocket and scissor fob are missing from this issue. You can download them from a link underneath where you downloaded the December 09 issue.

  • Page 43: We have left out some information on supplies for the biscornu and scissor fob. You need x7 8mm antique gold daisy spacers, x6 4mm antique gold daisy spacers and 12 4mm round pearl beads (white). For placement please see this note: The large spacers are only used on one side of the biscornu, the side facing up. The other two large spacers are used on two panels of the fob. The smaller spaces are used on one panel of the fob and on the side panels of the biscornu.

Issue 33 October 2008

  • Page 34: The brand of thread in the symbol key for the "2009 Mystery Calendar Sampler" is Needlepoint, Inc silks, not ThreadworkX.
The 'x' symbol is Needlepoint Inc - Northern Lights 022, Light Carnation

Issue 32 September  2008

  • Page 20: In the article about Queen Mary of Scots, King Henry VII is referred to. This should read King Henry VIII.

Issue 31 August  2008

  • Page 10: Scissor Tip Protector from the Summer Flowers Sewing Set by Lody Steward of Timber Creek Needleworks. Here is a photo showing how to insert the skirtex. The diagram shows inserting the skirtex in the wrong place.

Issue 30 July 2008

  • Page 11: In the Quaker Flowers Strawberry Emery chart: the Quaker flower, upper left motif has six stitches going across, it should have 3 stitches, skip a stitch, then 2 stitches.
  • Page 7: In the key for "I love Cross Stitch" by Maryse Dupont, the symbols for Old Red Paint (DMC 315) and Old Hickory (DMC 611) need to be reversed.

Issue 28 May 2008

    • Page 14: In the Garden with Jane Austen by The Sampler Girl: GAST Green Pastures should be represented by the symbol Z and not the downward arrow as seen in the key.

Issue 27 April 2008

  • Feature Design: "The Red Lady Sampler" by Kirsten Edwards. It has been pointed out that this design looks very similar to Carriage House Sampler's design, "Faith, Hope and Honor" and there has been some concern that it was copied. The inspiration for The Red Lady Sampler came from this historic needlework piece, "Spring" housed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art . In the introduction of the feature design, it is stated the Fishing Lady canvaswork pictures were the inspiration for this piece and this has led to some confusion about the origins of the design. Although the lady in "Spring" is not fishing, this historic piece is stitched in the same style and period as other fishing lady canvaswork pictures. We apologise for any concern or confusion this has created amongst stitchers.

Issue 20 September 2007

  • Page 10: Min Min Quilt Block: The horizontal and vertical line of stitches where the arrows point need to be stitched only once.Page 24: Sophie's Afternoon Key    This symbol is actually Kreinik's #325 / DMC #3688. It's a pink, not a green. Page 30: The dimensions for the total fabric needed for the Chatelaine should read: 35 x 140 cm (13 3/4 x 55 1/8").
  • Page 35: There has been some confusion over which way the fabric should go for the Historic Countries Mystery Sampler. Here is a diagram to help explain.

Issue 14 March 2007

  • Carousel Birth Record Pillow pages 4-5.  DMC 792 symbol should be a teardrop, not a black square.
  • At Home with Jane Austen pages 9-10. In the top and bottom vine borders, the vine is worked in Spinach or DMC 520 with the stems worked in Poblano Pepper or DMC 3053. In the first chart, the vine shows a dot symbol that is not in colour code. Also the top row of vines and purple berries is shifted two blocks to the right compared with the rest of the design.
