About Our Kits
We endeavour to bring our customers good quality and cost effective kits for cross stitch projects in The Gift of Stitching Magazine.

• Each kit has enough fabric and threads and materials to stitch the project.
• We endeavour to source the correct fabric that the designer specified for their design and the cut of fabric is generous, allowing plenty of room for framing or finishing.
• We endeavour to provide the correct thread amounts. We do this through model stitchers, not computer programs.
• If there are multiple thread colours in a kit, we thread them onto a thread card for easy reference and stitching.
• Each kit will contain enough finishing materials if the project is a hand finished item, i.e., pincushion. This includes templates, fabric, beads, skirtex, etc.
• The whole kit is packaged nicely in a clear sealed plastic cover and the front is clearly labeled.
• On the back you can see the actual kit contents.
• Many of the kits in our store have the option of purchasing a laser print of the chart and instructions for the project.

Additional Notes

SKIRTEX: Skirtex is a stiff fabric used to create stiff panels in a finished needlework item. If it comes folded in your kit, just iron it flat with a warm iron.

SILK COCOON: The Medley Bargello Bag kit contains a small silk cocoon. If it arrives squashed, just push your finger inside the cocoon and pop the sides out back to shape.

HAND DYED ITEMS: Many of our kits contain hand dyed threads or fabric. We cannot guarantee that these items are colourfast. Avoid washing or steam ironing your needlework. Also, because these items are hand dyed in small batches, there will be differences between each kit and from the model.
